Steve Grossman. (steveg@pavlov.rutgers.edu)
I began my interest in psychology while a first year undergraduate at
Queens College (CUNY). I spent two years working in the labs of two faculty
members, Dr. Jeffrey Halperin and Dr. Ray Johnson Jr. There I learned
the rudiments of neuropsychological assessment as well as various theories
of human memory function, especially hippocampal contributions to explicit
memory. I am now the Human Studies Coordinator at the Memory Disorders
Project, where I am using my neuropsych testing skills to help assess
implicit memory ability in adults, which is also under hippocampal influence.
In the future, I am looking to pursue my interests in a doctoral program
that stresses memory function and disorders, as well as clinical methods.
