Hiral Mehta

I’m Hiral. To choose a direction for my career, I’ve begun by majoring in biology and minoring in chemistry and psych. I find bio and chem. significant to study but, my real passion is psych. Complexities of brain and behavior I find just fascinating. With help of physiological knowledge, I intend to understand behavior more explicitly. This is thus a perfect opportunity for me to learn to explore my potentials. Here, I have learned to collect and analyze data, how new experiments are designed based on predictions, and have participated in surgery of animals and research projects seeking to understand function of hippocampus. Now the challenge for me is to make justified associations between a physical structure and behavior observed when possible. My goal currently is to learn to do this effectively. After graduation, I’d like to pursue my career in field of medicine. I hope to be faced with interesting challenges quite frequently in future. Whether one succeeds or not, it’s simply rewarding in itself just working for them.
